One thing that is important to getting traffic are links, and viral signatures.

Again and again, I find extremely annoying and unbelievable, is that even the most experienced marketers and online people don't use it, and yet in my experience it has proved to be one of the most effective ways for me to get traffic time and again.

He had no experience in the paid to surf industry, but is/was excellent webmaster with traffic exchanges, and wanted to branch out. We had a joint venture, I helped him to get going and promote his site through viral marketing via my signature, and he gave me free banner advertising on his site.

Through the signature, I helped to put his site on the map, I must have had hundreds of people join underneath me as a result, and people then got to know Bob, and see how good he was, I believe now, he has the longest running paid to surf site in history.
